It’s been a busy end of season for us all at Murray Motorsport. While myself and the rest of our store team have been closing out our 2016 Motorsport catalogue and coping with Black Friday weekend promotion our race team have been busy prepping 5 fiestas for this weekend’s Fiesta Endurance race at Mondello Park. It’s surprising the amount of additional prep the cars require compared to a normal sprint race. There have been team tactics discussed at every lunch break this week. There have been heated discussions about everything from weight, fuel consumption, lap times and pit stops!
The race was great fun last year where myself, Niall, Michael & Barry (MMS team 10) came out on top. Our strategy was simple to lead from the start and build up as much of a lead as possible. Our team did a great job during the pit stops which gave us a huge advantage. With 10 minutes to go we were hit with a stop go penalty for starting the car during a pit stop, luckily we had built up enough of a lead and took the win! This year the competition will be even tougher and with a few rule changes by the organisers to spice things up should make the race very interesting. This year we have another really strong driver line up, checkout our driver line-up below.
